1. Who I am
DBM Deep Light and the DBM mods are made by [legal name], [address], Romania ("DBM", "I"). Contact: support@dbmmods.com.
These terms apply to Deep Light, a ReShade add-on for Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator, and to supporter access on dbmmods.com. By installing Deep Light or joining as a supporter you accept them.
2. Your licence
Deep Light is licensed, not sold. I give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use it on your own PCs for playing Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator, within the limits of your plan.
Deep Light, its game profiles and its documentation remain the property of DBM. Third-party components (NVIDIA DLSS, AMD FidelityFX, ReShade) are covered by their own licences, included with the download.
3. Plans and keep
Every plan covers Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator.
Monthly (€3 a month)
Deep Light for the current game version and SCS open betas works while your subscription is active. When it ends, Deep Light works only on the free game versions (section 7). When a new game version becomes stable, Deep Light for the previous version becomes free. 1.61 is the first version: it becomes free when 1.62 is stable.
Yearly (€30 a year, founding price €20)
Everything in monthly for one year. When your year ends and you do not renew, you keep a permanent licence to every Deep Light build and game profile for every Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator version released during your paid year. Game versions released after it need an active plan.
Supporters who join the yearly plan on or before 1 December 2026 pay the founding price of €20 at every renewal, for as long as the subscription continues without a break. If it ends, joining again costs the regular yearly price.
A game version counts as released on the day SCS publishes it as stable or as an open beta. Hotfixes of a kept version (for example 1.62.1, 1.62.2) are included if they are released during your paid year.
KEEP is part of your licence and ends only as described in section 6.
4. PCs and activation
In plain words: Subscription rules.
- Your licence is active on one PC at a time. It is bound to your PC's motherboard, so changing the graphics card, disks, memory or reinstalling Windows does not need a new activation.
- You activate Deep Light once, by pasting your licence key into the ReShade overlay > Add-ons > DBM Deep Light. It then works offline for up to 30 days at a time plus 3 days of grace, and renews its licence in the background when it can, checking in about once a week when online. Builds kept under section 3 keep working offline indefinitely. When online they check in about once a month, and a licence that was moved to another PC or refunded stops working on this PC.
- You can move your licence to another PC yourself, once every 30 days, from the overlay on the new PC. For more moves, write to me.
- If my licence server is unavailable, Deep Light keeps working until its licence runs out.
- I may limit activations that look automated or shared, such as one licence activated from many countries in a short time.
5. What is not allowed
- Sharing, uploading, selling or giving away Deep Light, its licence files or its game profiles, in whole or in part.
- Sharing your account or letting other people use your activations.
- Removing, bypassing or disabling the licence check, or helping others do so.
- Reverse engineering, decompiling or modifying Deep Light, except where the law allows it and cannot be limited by contract.
- Using Deep Light in a commercial product or service without written permission.
Recording videos and streaming the game with Deep Light running is allowed and welcome.
6. Suspension and revocation
If a copy of Deep Light or its game profiles is found shared outside your account, or you break section 5, I may suspend or revoke your licence. Revocation includes everything you would keep under section 3, without refund.
Before revoking, I contact you at your account email and give you 14 days to respond, unless the breach is clear and ongoing (for example, a public upload). An automatic suspension for unusual activations (section 4) is lifted once I confirm the account is yours.
I send takedown notices to sites that host shared copies.
7. Free builds and mods
When a new game version becomes stable, Deep Light for the previous version becomes free for personal use under these same terms, without the online check. 1.61 is the first version: it becomes free when 1.62 is stable. The DBM mods on Steam Workshop are free and are covered by the Steam Subscriber Agreement and their own Workshop pages.
Early access copies of mods downloaded from dbmmods.com fall under section 5 until the mod is published on the Workshop.
7a. If DBM stops
If DBM stops maintaining Deep Light, or shuts down the licence server, I release the last build free for personal use without any licence check, and announce it in News. Nobody loses what they paid for.
7b. Update and support timing
I make and support Deep Light on my own. I aim to support each new game version and SCS open beta within days of its release, but I do not guarantee a release date or day-one support. Illness, medical or family emergencies, or other events outside my control can delay builds and answers to support requests.
Delays longer than a few days are announced in News. A delay does not suspend your licence or the builds you already have, and it is not by itself a reason for a refund; section 8 still applies if Deep Light does not run on your PC.
8. Payments and refunds
Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which sells Deep Light as the merchant of record and handles payment, invoices and VAT under its own terms. You can cancel any time from the link in your purchase email; your plan keeps working until the end of the period you paid for.
Deep Light is digital content delivered right away. Refunds follow the refund policy.
9. Data I keep
For licensing I keep your Lemon Squeezy customer ID, a hash of your email address, your first name and last initial, a masked email (first letter and domain), your plan, its status and paid-until date, a hash of each licence key, and for each activation a hash of your PC's motherboard ID with the activation and last-use times. Lemon Squeezy keeps your name, email and payment details. I do not collect game data, screenshots or files from your PC. Details are in the privacy policy.
10. No warranty
Deep Light changes how the game renders. It is provided as it is, without any warranty that it works with every game version, mod, driver or GPU. To the extent the law allows, my liability is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer under EU law.
Deep Light is not affiliated with or endorsed by SCS Software, NVIDIA or AMD.
11. Changes to these terms
I announce changes in News at least 30 days before they apply. Changes never take away what you already keep. These terms are governed by the law of the country where DBM is established (section 1). This does not affect your rights under EU consumer law or your right to use the courts of your own EU country.
