American Truck Simulator

DLSS for American Truck Simulator

American Truck Simulator has no DLSS or FSR of its own. Deep Light adds them, with frame generation and its lighting, on the same engine and the same game version as Euro Truck Simulator 2. One licence covers both games.

Tested in ATS

Deep Light runs fully in ATS 1.61. Upscaling to 4K with frame generation ran at 110 to 130 FPS on an RTX 5070 Ti, and the HUD stayed sharp in all but 6 of 6840 generated frames. Read the test drive.

What ATS gets

  • NVIDIA RTX: DLSS 4 and 4.5 (presets K, L and M) and DLAA.
  • RTX 40 and 50: DLSS frame generation with NVIDIA Reflex, multi frame generation up to 6× on RTX 50.
  • Any DirectX 12 GPU: FSR 3.1 upscaling and FSR frame generation, FSR 4 on Radeon RX 9000 Series.
  • The look: physically based lighting, a filmic tonemap, cabin lighting and deep ambient occlusion; wet roads, cracks and puddles in Pro.

Install

Download the ZIP, close the game and run Install.bat. It finds American Truck Simulator and Euro Truck Simulator 2 and asks which one to set up when you have both. Start the game, press Home and open Add-ons > DBM Deep Light. Deep Light Core is free for life in ATS too.

One licence covers ETS2 and ATS. No always-online: it works offline for up to 30 days. See the FAQ for what happens if you stop.

Questions

Does Deep Light work in American Truck Simulator?

Yes. ATS runs on the same engine as ETS2, and on version 1.61 every Deep Light check passes in ATS: lighting, the TAA replacement, the camera data and ambient occlusion.

Do I need a second licence for ATS?

No. One Deep Light licence covers both ETS2 and ATS. Deep Light Core is free in both.

How do I install it in ATS?

Run Install.bat. It finds Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator and asks which one to set up when you have both.

Which DLSS and frame generation does ATS get?

The same as ETS2: DLSS 4 and 4.5 with DLAA on NVIDIA RTX, DLSS frame generation on RTX 40 and 50 (up to 6× on RTX 50), and FSR upscaling and frame generation on any DirectX 12 GPU.
