Privacy policy

1. Visiting the site

I count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics. It sets no cookies, does not build a profile of you and does not follow you to other sites. The site sets no cookies of its own. Cloudflare, which hosts the site, processes your IP address to deliver pages and block attacks.

2. Comments

When you post a comment I keep the name you typed, the text and the date. To stop spam I also keep a hash of your IP address, made with a secret key so it cannot be turned back into the address, for 30 days. A Cloudflare Turnstile check runs before posting. Comments stay until you ask me to delete them.

3. Buying Deep Light

Lemon Squeezy sells Deep Light as the merchant of record. It collects your name, email, billing country and payment details under its own privacy policy, and sends me what I need to run your licence: your Lemon Squeezy customer ID, your email address (I store only a hash of it), your plan, its status and paid-until date, and your licence key (I store only a hash of it). I keep these for as long as your plan runs and for 3 years after it ends, for tax and dispute records, then delete them.

When you activate Deep Light, the add-on sends your licence key and a one-way hash of your PC's motherboard ID to dbmmods.com. I store the hash with the activation and last-use times, and your first name, last initial and masked email so the add-on can show who the licence belongs to. I keep these as long as the purchase data above.

4. Who processes your data

• Cloudflare, Inc.: hosting, security, analytics, comment storage, email delivery to me.
• Google LLC (Gmail): the moderation notification emails I receive, which contain the name and text of a comment, are delivered to my Google mailbox.
• Lemon Squeezy, LLC: payments, invoices, VAT, licence keys.

5. Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask to see, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its use, and to get a copy of it. Write to support@dbmmods.com; I answer within 30 days. You can also complain to the Romanian data protection authority (ANSPDCP, dataprotection.ro).

6. Legal basis

Comments and spam protection: legitimate interest in running a public comment section without abuse. Licences: performing the contract you entered by buying Deep Light. Tax records: legal obligation.
